Join Asia Hub partner institutions for the 2025 Annual Meeting!
Engage with Asia Hub as we brainstorm ways to strengthen partnerships and seek opportunities to enhance our research collaborations. This year’s meeting will be hosted by IPB University in Indonesia and co-planned by CIAERA (Consortium for Innovations in Agricultural Education and Research in Asia).
The meeting will focus on applying an interdisciplinary approach to Water-Energy-Food (WEF) security in Asia, highlighting the interconnectedness of research and solutions in ways that engage educational institutions, governments, businesses, and development agencies. Sub-themes will include the intersection of One Health and WEF security, emerging issues at the land-water interface, aquatic ecosystems, and resilient food systems.
Registration will open in June. Conference details will be shared in the upcoming months.
The focus of the 2024 Asia Hub Annual Meeting was research related to water-energy-food (WEF) Nexus challenges in Asia. Keynote presentation and panel discussions focused on WEF Nexus advances and applications. Participants engaged with researchers from Asia Hub partner institutions and had the opportunity to brainstorm collaborative research opportunities and hot topics in WEF Nexus research and beyond. The meeting was held November 11-13, 2024 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Agenda (Detailed Agenda)
The 2023 Asia Hub Annual Meeting brought together partners from Michigan State University (MSU), Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU), and over 20 partner universities in The Asia Hub Network to discuss international partnerships, collaborations, and knowledge sharing to address emerging global challenges in the water-energy-food systems in the face of climate change. The meeting was held during July 15-20, 2023 on Hainan Island, China.

The Asia Hub held its Annual Meeting, 2022 online from April 18th to 20th, 2022. The meeting was attended by 48 participants in total who were representatives from 45 universities, research institutions, businesses, governments, and international organizations from 18 countries. The conference explored and exchanged ideas on how to sustain international cooperation and academic exchanges in the post-pandemic era.
